Our first day in Santorini was pretty miserable. We were really wishing we went to Crete instead!!
It was so windy that the map with notes from the hotel clerk blew right out of my hands the minute I took it out of the car. We spent most of the day driving around the island, with Ramesh and I taking turns jumping out of the car and taking pictures. Jackson was not feeling well, so he stayed warm and dry in the car.
We had lunch at a restaurant called The Bone. We loved the turquoise and brown color scheme. The food and wine were good, but service was quite slow.
We popped into a corner bakery and picked up some baklava. We learned that this was a public holiday, which was why the grocery stores were closed.
With the awful weather, there was no sunset to be seen on this cloudy evening.
